I like food. A lot. Okay, I like food a whole lot! Unfortunately, most the foods I used to enjoy just aren’t good for me. I have gone out of my way so far this year to be a healthier me and part of this is eating healthier. So, I have come up with a list of top foods that are healthier for me and that I aim to try at least once this year.
I have heard people rave about seaweed and what it can do for you. I have never been brave enough to try it yet, but seaweed chips or crackers may be a great place to start!
Technically, I have tried edamame once before. Unfortunately, I was not very well acquainted with it and had no idea you were supposed to remove them from the pod. So, I stuck the whole thing in my mouth, looked like a fool and gave up on them because it was stringy and awful. I would love to try them the correct way this time.
I have always been scared of them because of their color, but my sister loves them and I think I should give them a try. If nothing else, I could make veggie chips out of them.
There have been quinoa recipes all over the Internet recently and it always looks so good. This food is completely foreign to me though, so I have avoided it. I really need to start trying new things though, quinoa made my must try list for the year too!
