Football season has arrived once again, and this year it threatens to take over our home. Thanks to my mom’s influence, the boys have come to be quite fond of Sunday night football games. Since they can’t possibly be bothered to sit down and have a regular meal during these events, I have gotten creative providing them with “tailgating” snacks that can curb a football-sized hunger. Are you aware of how much food it takes to fill up four growing boys?
Luckily, Campbell’s is a company that is always delivering new products that help me get creative in the kitchen. This week, I took a little inspiration from their new Chunky soup flavors, and create a Chunky Game Plan. I recently ran across their Seasoned BBQ Pork Chunky soup, and it sounded like the perfect ingredient for a dip.
Sometimes when I don’t feel like cooking, a can of Chunky soup poured over mashed potatoes or rice can really hit the spot. With big pieces of meat and vegetables and flavors guys love, it is the perfect option for this home full of boys. Check out the 5 minute tailgate BBQ cheese dip I can up with below.
- 1 can of Campbell’s Seasoned BBQ Pork Chunky Soup
- 1 jar of Cheese Whiz
- A large round loaf of crusty bread
- Fried onion topping
Step 1: Combine the Chunky soup and jar of Cheese Whiz in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for 3 minutes.
Step 2: While the soup mixture is cooking, cut a round circle in the center of the loaf of bread, hollow it out and cut the removed bread into bite-sized pieces. This should form a bowl in your loaf of bread.
Step 3: Mix together the Chunky soup and Cheese Whiz when it has finished cooking, pour it into the bread bowl and top with fried onion topping.
That’s it, easy as can be, and a dip perfect for tailgating in just five minutes. Want more delicious Campbell’s recipes? Visit their site, or follow @CampbellsChunky on Twitter.
