Adventures in Bedwetting – How Are GoodNites Bed Mats Holding Up?

Over the last few months, I have written a few posts about our experience with GoodNites Bed Mats. My youngest Jase has had some bedwetting accidents for years now. It has nothing at all to do with potty training, as we crossed that bridge long long ago. For whatever reason, he sometimes has some trouble at night and we had been searching for a way to discreetly handle it while still protecting his mattress. That is where Goodnites Bed Mats have come in.

{Our Progress with GoodNites Bed Mats}

We have seen a huge amount of success with the Goodnites Bed Mats. Whether it is because he subconsciously knows that his bed is protected, or if the reduction in stress because the mats are hidden and he is not embarrassed, our nighttime accidents have reduced dramatically. In fact, we haven’t had one in nearly a month.

Obviously, we still keep the Bed Mats in place just in case something were to happen, but Jase is thrilled with the fact that no one can see the mats under his sheets and I am thrilled that he is protected and our number of accidents has decreased.

{Tips for Dealing with Bedwetting}

If you are dealing with bedwetting, I would say the number one thing you should do is go get Goodnites Bed Mats. They honestly have been a game changer in our home. It is also important to never shame your child or let him see that you are upset over the accident. The child can’t do anything to control these accidents and if he feels bad about it, it could make the situation worse.

Lastly, it is a good idea to get your child involved in helping to prevent the problem. Let them help put the Bed Mats on their bed, let them become comfortable with them and understand that they are protected no matter what might happen at night. You can visit the Goodnites website to learn more about bedwetting and even take the “Better Night Test.”

  1. I'm so glad these are working out for you so far. We've had many 2AM sheet changes so I wish these were around a few years ago!

  2. Do you have to take them off if he doesn't wet them? Or can they stay on until they have one?
