Back to School Bash – Kidorable Review and Giveaway!

Kidorable is an amazing company that creates some of  the most adorable products for children I have ever seen. We were given the opportunity to review one of their themed backpacks specifically made with younger and smaller children in mind and it is perfect for my youngest to take along with him to preschool.

{In Their Words}

“In 1997, Kidorable sprung from the minds, hearts and efficiency apartment of Liping and Jonathan Domsky. They proclaimed, “The world needs someone to create children’s apparel and accessories that are both functional and fun. We can do that.”

And so Kidorable was conceived. Starting with lions and cats and bears, oh my, manifested as umbrellas and hangers, Kidorable generated enough sales during its first year to break even and plant fruitful Kidorable seeds throughout the land.

Kidorable delights both children and the adults who love them by transforming everyday, functional kids accessories into objects that excite their imaginations and enrich their lives at play.

From rainwear to backpacks to knitwear and towels, Kidorable speaks to the precious spirit of childhood.”
{My Take}
For the Back to School Bash, we were privileged enough to review the Kidorable Pirate Backpack, which is sold for $23. The main thing that I loved about this backpack as soon as I saw it besides the awesome theming, was the size. Most backpacks that are sold in stores are much to big for preschool and Kindergarten aged children and swallow them up. The Kidorable backpack is big enough to hold, pencil boxes, books and lunch bags, but is still small enough to fit easily and comfortably on my four year-old’s back without toppling him over.

Another great feature of the backpacks is the material they are made of. Since it isn’t traditional fabric, the surface can be easily wiped off and cleaned with just a damp cloth both inside and out. This is great when you are dealing with younger children, especially boys who can be quite messy!

The design of the Pirate Backpack is just as adorable as the other products on the website. Shaped like a treasure chest, the top/lid unzips to reveal ample storage space inside, side pockets adorned with anchors are perfect for water bottles or other school supplies and there is an additional pouch in the front for storage with a cute pirate parrot and gold coins. My favorite part however, is the zipper pull, which is a small padded sword that makes it easier for little hands to zipper the backpack closed.
I would recommend the Kidorable backpacks for children ages 2-6 because of their size, but the could be used for older children as well since the straps on the back are adjustable, allowing bigger kids to slip them on.
In addition to an entire line of themed backpacks for both boys and girls, Kidorable also carries umbrellas, knit scarves, hats, gloves, rain boots, sun hats, hangers, bookends and embroidered shirts in many of the same themes as well. I definitely want to get Jase the matching Pirate items to go with his backpack.

    1. The pirate umbrella is so cute. The frog umbrella is a close second if the pirate wasn't available.
