When did home decor items get so expensive. One candle holder at Pier 1 or even Target can easily set you back nearly $20. I set off on a mission to find DIY projects I could use around the home to save some money during this remodel and I can across candle holders similar to these. Each candle holder cost me approximately $3.50 to make, so three of them for $10.50 was quite a bargain and they look great on the shelf.
Take a cheap candle stick holder and attach it to the bottom of a hurricane votive holder or even a glass vase with super glue. You can make them all the same or mix and match. Mine are all the same and I got the candle stick and votive holders from the Dollar Tree for $1 each.
Once the glue has dried, place a candle of your choosing in each of the holders and pour a small amount of split peas around them while holding the candle in place.
That’s it. Just a few minutes and two short steps to some pretty and inexpensive candle decor for your home.
