Ecomom Plum and Revolution Foods Review and Giveaway! {CLOSED}

“Going Green” is a topic that is on the lips of almost everyone around the world. There has been a drastic increase in the demand for quality, Eco-friendly products that are safer for consumers and the environment. Finding products that are top of the line, environmentally friendly and affordable can often be difficult however. EcoMom is a great company that allows consumers to purchase a wide range of “green” products for the whole family, from eco-clothing to organic snacks for the kiddos.

{My Take}

EcoMom recently sent me a wide range of their Plum and Revolution Foods to review. They carry a whole line of organic food products that can take your little one from the highchair to the lunchbox without missing a beat. The cost of the food is affordable and comparable to products at your local organic food retailer, plus EcoMom offers great incentives and money saving options.

For instance, their EcoPass program allows you to purchase a yearly membership for only $99 and receive free shipping on all orders and an automatic 15% off for the entire year! Plus, there is a special going on for July that if you purchase the EcoPass, it will be good for life with no renewal fees instead of just a year. They also offer free shipping to everyone with orders of $75 and more, to help cut costs even more.

The products we specifically reviewed included the Revolution foods Mashups, Jammy Sammys and Grammy Sammys.We also tried out the Plum foods fruit Mish Mash and the Plum foods Apple Carrot Fiddlesticks. There were mixed reviews on the items and the boys by far enjoyed the Revolution foods better than the Plum foods. I believe this is because my youngest is almost five and the Plum foods are designed for babies and toddlers and have a lighter flavor.

My youngest loved the Mashups and slurped them down as quickly as I could hand them out. Mashups are an ingenious way to get your kids to eat fruit if they do not like it in its natural form. For example, my four year old will not touch a piece of fruit of any kind, but he loved the Mashups that are made from all natural organic pureed fruit and contain no artificial sweeteners, colors or flavors. They are also Kosher and gluten-free. The Plum foods Mish Mash fruit pouches are much the same, but are designed for toddlers. I loved that there was no mess involved with these and that the kids could eat them right from the pouch or squeeze them out and eat them with a spoon.

The Grammy Sammys were by far the kids favorite. These are organic honey grahams filled with a creamy yogurt filling. We tried the strawberry and the boys gobbled them up! The Jammy Sammys were a big hit here as well and all four boys enjoyed them. They are grahams filled with peanut butter and jelly. We tried both the grape and strawberry and I personally liked the strawberry better myself.

The last item we sampled was the apple and carrot Fiddlesticks. These were okay, but not really a big hit with the boys because of the consistency I think. These are part of the Plum foods line for babies and toddlers though and have the consistency of teething biscuits. They would be great for toddlers and babies! My older boys ate them, but weren’t in love with them.

Overall, we really enjoyed the sampling of Plum and Revolution foods that EcoMom provided. The Revolution foods are of course a better fit for our family, but I love that these are grab and go snacks that are both healthy and delicious. I also appreciate that they developed a wide range of products with kids of every age in mind.
