Healthier Snacking with New Green Giant Veggie Chips

Lately, I have made a switch to mostly fruits and vegetables for snacks throughout the day. The boys like some of these too, but as kids, they also love regular processed snack like chips too. Well, Green Giant has a brand new “Giant” sized surprise, their new Veggie Snack Chips. Available in two varieties, these veggie chips offer a healthier snacking alternative with tons of whole grain and vegetables baked right in. This is a big deal for my youngest, who hate any vegetable that he can see.

Right now, there are two flavors of the snack chips. The first is the Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips that come in a Zesty Cheddar flavor. These taste just like another cheddar flavored tortilla chip you might know, but with 17 grams of whole grain per serving and natural flavoring, they are a healthier option.

The second variety are the Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips with a Sea Salt flavor. These have 14 grams of whole grains 40 percent less fat than regular potato chips!

{Our Take}

Besides being healthier, these veggie chips are every bit as tasty as other chip varieties. The boys prefer the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips, but liked both. With four boys in the house, these did not last long. They are the perfect movie night snack, and I love that they are healthier than other products I could give them.

What do you think of the new Green Giant Veggie Chips? Have you tried them?

  1. I think my girls would love this. Probably the only kids who love veggies, lol

  2. I am so happy your guys gave these a good review. I actually picked these up at the market today before reading your post. I really hope my picky eaters like them too!

  3. I loved these chips! I even liked the sweet potato ones and I am not a huge sweet potato lover!

  4. I had never heard of these until I saw them on several blogs. I must find these at the local supermarket.

  5. I haven't tried them yet – I'm interested in seeing whether my family will like the Cheddar ones in place of the nachos they currently eat. I am looking forward to trying the sweet potato ones.
