It is no secret that the boys and I travel a lot, particularly in the Summer. We are on our #90DayRoadTrip right now, and it is almost impossible for me to keep up with a full homeschool teaching regimine while we are on the road. On the other hand, I don’t want them to completely stop learning. I mean, we learn things when we travel, but they need something to keep their school skills sharp. That is why we are relying on Brain Chase this Summer. It is flexible enough to be done anywhere around any activity. For us, it’s traveling.
What is Brain Chase?
In case you haven’t caught my previous posts about the awesomeness that is Brain Chase, let me give you a quick recap. Brain Chase is a real life treasure hunt for a $10,000 scholarship and this year’s quest, the Sunstone of Cortes. Somewhere on Earth, the treasure is buried, and the first child to guess its location correctly will get to fly with their parents to that location and dig the treasure up themselves. How cool is that?
So, where does the learning come in? Well, children need to complete five hours of focused online coursework a week for five weeks in reading, writing, math and languages. No worries though, because the coursework utilizes great online programs like Kahn Academy and Rosetta Stone, which are based completely online, so you can do the work virtually anywhere, including while your traveling. Learn more about the flexibility of the Brain Chase program.
As children complete their cousework each week, they will unlock new Brain Chase episodes featuring the engaging treasure hunting crew and find clues to where the $10,000 treasure is located. They will also earn the right to guess where they think the treasure is hidden.
How Much Does It Cost?
Brain Chase registration is available in two packages. The regular pricing packge is $199 for the first child and $100 for each additional sibling.
