Keep Your Lawn Pest and Weed Free with #AMDRO Powerflex

I’m a sponsored blog partner with AMDRO and participated in their PowerFlex Pest & Weed System Program.

A few months ago when the warm weather returned to Florida, the weeds in the lawn started growing like, well, weeds. Now, our yard has become overrun by not only weeds, but famous Florida summertime pests too, like palmetto bugs also known as roaches, ants and other undesirable creepy crawlies. To help combat both the weeds and the pests, I have been given the opportunity to try the new AMDRO Powerflex Pest and Weed System!

{What is the AMDRO Powerflex Pest and Weed System?}

The AMDRO PowerFlex Pest & Weed System moves pest and weed control into the 21st century of technology by creating one innovative solution that fits all of consumers’ control needs. The battery-powered sprayer features four specialty formulated cartridges that eliminate a wide range of pests – from ants and cockroaches to dandelion and many other hard-to-control weeds. Available cartridges include: Weed & Grass Killer Concentrate; Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate; Yard & Perimeter Outdoor Insect Killer Concentrate; and Home Pest Indoor Killer Concentrate. To use the system, you just follow these easy instructions:

  1. Fill the reusable one gallon tank with clean water
  2. Twist in one of four patent-pending cartridges
  3. Spray to treat target pests; quickly switch between projects by removing the cartridge, flushing the applicator for ten seconds with water from the tank and twisting in a new cartridge

{Our Experience}

The AMDRO Powerflex system arrived with a sprayer and four cartridges, one of each type. It honestly was really simple to setup and use. All I had to do was follow the three easy steps and there were no complicated instructions or worse yet, mixing directions to follow. We decided to try out the Yard & Perimeter Outdoor Insect Killer Concentrate first, since we have noticed way to many ant mounds forming in the yard and bugs congregating near the base of the house. The boys are forever getting bit by ants in the yard during the summer, especially after it rains, so I wanted to put a stop to that.

Matt volunteered to do the spraying and the system is pretty light and easy to spray with. The only thing I wish is that the nozzle was a little larger and would spray a little faster or more at a time, but there is probably a reason for the controlled spraying and my impatience needs to take a back seat. We sprayed the base of the house, around the porch, spot treated the lawn in areas that were heavily contaminated with ants and also sprayed the trees and bushes near the entrance to the house.

So far, I have noticed a smaller amount of ants running around after just a day. I am looking forward to seeing more of them disappear, and we will be using the Home Pest Indoor Killer Concentrate next, to make sure none of those outdoor pests make it inside.
