Okay, I am not a shopper, at least not for myself. I am also the farthest thing you could get from being a girly girl. I am trying though and am making an effort to wear something besides loungewear everyday, even though I work from home. I rarely go shopping for myself and I claimed I wasn’t going to buy anything until I reached my ideal goal, but a severe lack of anything that fit and the addition of some birthday money had me headed to the store this past weekend.
I love to buy clothes for the boys and am at The Children’s Place at least once a month getting them stuff, but when it comes to shopping for me, I am usually clueless. I did some research though and picked out a few of the fall trends that I thought I would love and went with them. P.S., if you have not seen the Charmed Valerie blog, you should really stop by. She is super cute and has great fashion tips!
Anyway, I went to Plato’s Closet, which is a store that accepts slightly used designer and name brand clothes from the hoardes of college students running around our city and sells the at super affordable prices. I scored all of the stuff I am about to show you for under $150 and that would have bought me maybe 3-4 things at a cheaper retail store, so I am a happy camper! Yes, my head is cut off in the photos below because my hair and face were not cooperating.
