Sloppy Joe Sliders – Perfect for Game Day

The weekend is quickly approaching, and with it comes the Super Bowl. Now, I will be the first to admit I am not a football, but seeing as almost every other person on the face of the Earth is, I thought I would share this awesome recipe for quick sloppy joe sliders, that makes the perfect game day finger food!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lb Ground Beef
1 Onion diced
2 cloves Garlic diced
1/4 lb Sweet Peppers diced
1/2 cup Ketchup
2 tbsp Mustard
1/4 cup water
12 Hawaiian Rolls

Instructions:

Step 1: Brown the ground beef and drain it well.

Step 2: Add the onions and the garlic, and cook the meat for 10 minutes more over medium heat.

Step 3: Add in the peppers, mustard, ketchup and water, and cook for 15 more minutes.

Step 4: Cut the rolls in half and toast them lightly.

Step 5: Serve the Sloppy Joes on toasted rolls.

What is your favorite game day finger food?

  1. I think will have to be my new favorites 🙂 Thanks for the recipe. I only knew how to make sloppy joes from a mix but we can't use it anymore since it has wheat and my hubs has Celiac. Now I can try this and just sub the bread!

  2. They're perfectly sized for grabbing while watching the game, but they're more satisfying than chips or whatnot. Yum!

  3. My father in law's birthday is coming up next month and he will be visiting us during that time. Sloppy Joes are one of his favorite meals so this recipe looks perfect for feeding our entire hungry family!

  4. Great idea for this weekend! My husband is already asking what foods we'll have, so I've got a big shopping and cooking day ahead of me tomorrow. 🙂
