Zubie – The Ultimate Road Trip App

This post brought to you by Zubie. All opinions are 100% mine.

Those of you who know me know I love to travel. Most of my travel is done in a car too, road trip seems to be my middle name. Road trips can be a bit risky though, as you never quite know what’s going on under your car’s hood. Well, until Zubie comes along that is. Zubie is the ultimate road trip buddy! I’ve been using my Zubie Key for the last 4 weeks or so, and I love that it gives me up-to-date information about my vehicle’s health and my driving habits, to help keep me safe and prepared on the road.

I have shared a few posts with you over the last few months about Zubie and what it can do. It packs quite a punch for a little device. Its mobile app lets me see information about my car’s location, friend’s and family’s locations, as well as alerts about possible problematic driving habits such as hard breaks or rapid accelerations, and even updates about my car’s battery and engine health.

This month, I am driving the Toyota Sienna as part of my Sienna Diaries campaign, and I wanted to switch the Zubie Key over to the new vehicle for our recent road trip out to Louisiana for Mardi Gras last weekend. Moving the Zubie could not have been easier. I just plugged the Zubie Key into the Toyota Sienna, and the app automatically detected it and added the new car’s information. So easy! It started tracking our trip to Louisiana and reported my location to any friends and family members I had approved through the app.

I am also happy to report that I made it all the way to Louisiana without one single alert about my driving habits, and even earned my first Zubie driving badge, the Slow Poke Badge. This is hilarious, because my mom and sister are always saying how I drive like a grandma. While I don’t think that is true, I do think of myself as a catious driver who goes the speed limit. Apparently, Zubie agrees.

If you or someone you know loves road trips, has a new teen driver, or just wants to keep better track of their driving habits, their car’s driving health or the locations of close friends or family members, then Zubie would make the perfect gift for them. I check my Zubie app almost daily, and it has become an important part of our driving day. I look forward to it keeping me safe and helping let me family at home know where the boys and I are on our 70 day camping trip this summer.

  1. I think this would be a great tool for teen drivers. We don't always keep the best records for trips about how far we've driven so this would be useful for that as well.

  2. Slow poke badge! Hahah – that's too cute 🙂 Well, I'm glad the trip went smoothly with no alerts or incidents.

  3. I wonder if they have a Lead Foot badge, because I would certainly earn that one. Looks like a very helpful app.

  4. I've been hearing good things about Zubie and still have yet to check it out for us. I do so much driving that it would be good to have.

  5. It's great that it is so user-friendly and switching vehicles was a breeze. Congrats on the new badge!

  6. I keep hearing the best stuff about the Zubie. I know I want it when my son is old enough to drive. 🙂
